Glass pot to replace the terrible plastic ones to eliminate noise – Yes I said noise! Excellent quality and a solution to the annoying sounds coming from our Bunn coffee maker! We purchased the Bunn Model# VLPF two pot automatic coffee maker for our office. Unknowingly, I purchased the high-impact-resistant (plastic) coffee pots. From day one, when the coffee pots would get about half empty, they would make the most annoying and loud spitting, popping, rumbling sounds. (This was not the water heating.) If you picked up the pot, the noise would stop. I called Bunn and they had heard of the issue and said to put 5 pennies on the burner to lift up the pot from the burner. What!!?? LOL, it worked a little bit, but after spending $518 for a new professional in-line water coffee pot for our office’s conference room, having these sounds coming out of the machine in the middle of meetings was embarrassing.On a fluke, I thought the light weight of the plastic pots may have something to do with the noise, so I bought one of these glass pots.
